EMCO machines automate with Cellro

Many workers in the machining industry have already been introduced to EMCO’s turning and milling machines during their training. In recent years, the originally Austrian machine manufacturer has continuously expanded its range from small and compact to somewhat heavier and more advanced workstations for both conventional and automated production of small and medium-sized series. Cellro offers the most suitable automation solutions for this.

Get more out of EMCO turning and milling machines

EMCO is a real family business that is firmly established with 75 years of experience and a range of high-quality turning and milling machines. Many machining companies use Hyperturn, Maxxturn, Emcoturn CNC turning centres and/or machining centres of the Umill, Maxxmill or Emcomill series. For all these EMCO machines, Cellro provides automation systems with Xcelerate and Elevate that provide significantly more spindle hours and an increase in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Interested in automating an EMCO as well?
We will be glad to offer you tailor-made advice!

EMCO Hyperturn 665 MC with Xcelerate X20

A great practical example is the automation on an EMCO Hyperturn 665 MC with Xcelerate X20. This configuration has the controls on the left side of the machine. This meant that Xcelerate had to be placed a little further away from the machine. The second floor scanner provides open and safe access to the machine for the operator.

Cellro offers the best EMCO automation solution

From the requests coming in directly to our headquarters in Veenendaal or via our German branch in Brackenheim, we notice that more and more machining companies want to automate their EMCO CNC machines. Based on the specific requirements and concrete needs, we use our expertise and experience to help you find the most suitable automation solution. In doing so, we look at the technical specifications of the machine and interface. If necessary, we will enter into discussions with EMCO to arrive at the desired configuration. JeWe Inexor is a family company that has been around for 55 years, supplying all kinds of machined components to various industries. JeWe Inexor has 12 machines for machining and more or less everything else necessary to produce a complete product. Often, skilled workers, who can set up machines, spend all their time just loading and removing workpieces. This task can be done by an automated robot, allowing the skilled workers to make more use of their expertise while the robot does the routine jobs.

Xcelerate is designed to load workpieces into a single machine. From lathes to milling machines and from bench grinders to measuring benches, Xcelerate enables automatic finishing of production series. The automatic loading system can be linked to both new and existing CNC machines. This enables unmanned production for a wide range of machines, so you can focus on more complicated tasks in the workplace. Moreover, Xcelerate can continue operating automatically after closing time.

After almost 10 years of manual production, Imminkhuizen Metaaltechniek decided that the time had come to automate part of its production. Imminkhuizen went looking for a system that would automate the production of relatively large and simple series. A Cellro Xcelerate system is now fully integrated into the production activities at Imminkhuizen, and generally operates for around 12 hours per day. This is both for large-scale and smaller series.
